The European influence

Having spent time in 12 different European basketball cultures, ADAPT leaders understand why European basketball is beginning to take over the game at the highest level.

DEVELOPMENT > WINNING

The European club systems focus on development over winning at a young age. In North America, it's very common to see players' basketball development stunted due to the desire to win, become ranked, and gain "exposure". Across the pond, we noticed how diligently coaches were developing their athletes. Players remain with a club for a longer period of time to gel with teammates, train more than they play and spend lots of time learning how to play the team game which is more suited for the next level.

Coach Brantley Osborne

Director Brantley Osborne brings a rich blend of professional and collegiate playing experience to his role at ADAPT Academy Mountain State. His firsthand knowledge of the game, both domestically and internationally, significantly informs his coaching philosophy and approach.

As Director, Brantley is committed to nurturing a positive team culture where athletes are encouraged to develop their skills in a team-oriented environment. He focuses on fundamental basketball skills, strategic gameplay understanding, and cultivating mental toughness. His extensive experience as a player and coach allows him to adapt his coaching methods to meet the dynamic needs of his teams effectively.

WHY ADAPT?

We named our Academy "ADAPT" because it is truly at the center of our approach to developing strong-minded athletes, who are able to adjust and find solutions in any situation - in basketball but more importantly, in life. Through the training regimen and academy experience, our methods are battle-tested to prepare young men and women for whatever the future has to offer.
